Optional Excursions:

METEORA. The "suspended" monasteries of Meteora are considered, after Mount Athos, the second most important Christian Orthodox monastic center in Greece. The monasteries of Meteora are part of the UNESCO World Heritage and are unique not only from an architectural point of view but especially because of the beauty of the landscape, being built on the top of spectacular rock formations, a true "stone forest", formed 60 million years ago. Of the 24 monasteries built between the 14th and 16th centuries, only 6 monasteries are still open today. You will have the opportunity to visit two monasteries, which amaze with their grandeur, wealth, and beauty - the Varlaam Monastery (1350) and the Roussanou Monastery (1380). The excursion program also includes a visit to a workshop of Byzantine icons, where you will be explained and you will be able to admire the technique of painting Byzantine icons with gold leaf. Note: The entrance ticket to the 2 monasteries at Meteora is not included, 3 EUR / person / monastery. Optionally, you have the possibility to have lunch at a local restaurant in the Meteora area (approx. 9 EUR / person / menu).

NOTE: Decent attire is required for visiting the monasteries (skirt / dress for ladies and long pants for gentlemen) and comfortable footwear (adidas type).

Thessaloniki City Tour. Thessaloniki is the second-largest and most important city in Greece after the capital Athens. Thessaloniki is the capital of the Macedonia region and an important port on the Aegean Sea, its geographical position ensuring the city's economic prosperity over the centuries. The city was built in antiquity by Cassander in honor of his wife Thessalonike, the sister of Alexander the Great. The glory of the city was during the Byzantine period when Thessaloniki was the second most important city after Constantinople. Among the numerous attractions of the city, you can admire the Church of Saint Demetrius the Myrrh-Streamer (where the Miracle-Working Relics of St. Dimitri, the protector of the city, are located), the Church of Hagia Sophia, the Arch of Galerius, the Rotunda (the first Christian church in Greece - 4th century AD), Aristotle Square, the Bazaar, and the White Tower (the symbol of the city of Thessaloniki). You will also have free time to explore the city on your own, for shopping, or to have a coffee in one of the numerous cafes on the Thessaloniki waterfront.

MOUNT OLYMPUS. Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece (the peak Mytikas, where the ancient Greeks believed the legendary Zeus had his throne, has a height of 2,917m) and is the one that gives the name to the region where you chose to spend your vacation - the Olympic Riviera. The excursion to Mount Olympus begins with a visit to the town of Litochoro, located right at the foot of Mount Olympus. From there, you will go together with the guide for a walk through the Enipeas Canyon and you will be able to admire the Vithos waterfall, where legend has it that Zeus bathed. The monastery we will visit on this excursion is the St. Efrem Syrus Monastery, a true corner of paradise, with splendid gardens, where we will recharge with positive energy and spirituality. Here we can pray to the Relics of Saint Efrem Syrus (a great saint and scholar of Christianity) and to the Miraculous Icon of the Mother of God.

NOTE: Decent attire is required for visiting the monasteries (skirt / dress for ladies and long pants for gentlemen) and comfortable footwear for walking in the canyon (adidas type).

CRUISE TO SKIATHOS ISLAND. Skiathos Island is one of the most famous islands in Greece, with beaches of fine sand and crystal-clear water, with fairy-tale landscapes (a unique combination of colors - the turquoise of the Aegean Sea, the blue of the sky, and the green of the abundant vegetation of the island). It is said to have been the favorite island of Princess Diana. But the charm of the excursion to Skiathos is not only the beauty of the island but especially the cruise with CAPTAIN KOSTAS and the Elisabeth Cruises ship. During the cruise to Skiathos Island, Captain Kostas and his family will create an unforgettable atmosphere with Greek music, traditional dances (Zorba, Sirtaki), and numerous other games. Those of you who dance the best sirtaki will be rewarded with metaxa. The first stop of the ship will be in the town of Skiathos, the capital of the island. You will take a walk together with your guide to the Church on the Hill, from where you will admire the splendid panorama of the island and the town. You will have free time for photos, a walk, or to have lunch in one of the taverns in the port, serving delicious Greek specialties. Then you will sail with the ship along the coast of the island to the Koukounaries beach, one of the most exotic beaches in Greece. Here you can swim and sunbathe, after which, on the way back, we will continue the SUPER-PARTY on the ship. An excursion where we GUARANTEE 100% FUN!

WATERFALLS OF EDESSA and THERMAL SPRINGS OF POZAR - ARIDEA. A relaxing excursion where first you will be delighted by the sight and sound of the Edessa Waterfalls (a mountain town located approximately 100 km from Thessaloniki), after which we will arrive at the Pozar - Aridea Thermal Springs. The thermal springs of Pozar are famous for the healing properties of the water, and the landscape here is unique. You can swim in one of the pools with thermal water (outdoor or indoor - 3 EUR entrance ticket), or pamper yourself with a massage or a steam bath (for an additional fee). A perfect choice to escape the hot summer day and relax amidst the mountains!
