Programme

Day 1

  • Departure from Chisinau at 8:00

Day 2

Arrival in Istanbul and start of the excursion program:

  • Suleymaniye Mosque - the second largest and most important mosque in Istanbul
  • Ali Baba shop - about 4000 varieties of Turkish sweets - halva, Turkish delight, pishmaniye, honey, tahini and many other products.
  • Check-in at the hotel/s, a short break
  • Visit the leather and fur shop
  • Bosphorus Strait cruise (optional- 15 euro) - this incredible ride will give us the opportunity to visit both the European and Asian shores of Istanbul, the Golden Horn, palaces and shopping.
  • Return to the hotel, free time.

Day 3

  • Departure to Batumi at 10:00, arrive in Batumi in the evening, accommodation Batumi hotel 3*.

Day 4

  • Excursion Batumi. During this excursion we will visit the old and new town of Batumi.We will visit Europe square, Piazza, Azbuca Tower and the sculpture "Ali and Nino" on Batumi Boulevard. In the evening, sea cruise (optional).

Day 5

  • Departure to Tbilisi, arrive in the evening, accommodation in Tbilisi in 3* hotel, free time.

Day 6

  • Excursion Tbilisi. First we will visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral, one of the largest Orthodox cathedrals in the world.After that we will visit the Metehi Church and the monument of the legendary founder of the capital of Tbilisi, Tsar Vahtangu Gorgasali, we will climb up to the Naricala fortress from where a superb view of the city opens up. Descending to the sulphur baths area and passing the only mosque in Tbilisi, we will find ourselves among the beautiful cafes and souvenir shops in the Chardin area. Narrow streets with wine cellars and art galleries preserve the spirit of old Tbilisi.They will lead us to the Temple of Sioni (named after Mount Zion, which is in Israel), the 6th century Anchiskhati Basilica and the unique clock tower of the Puppet Theatre of legendary director Rezo Gabriadze. After crossing along the Peace Pedestrian Bridge to the left bank of the Kura, we'll visit the bizarre Rike Sculpture Park.

Day 7

Cahetia excursion.

  • From Tbilisi to the capital of the Cahetia region, the town of Telavi, there is a beautiful serpentine road - the Gombori Pass (100 km, 2 hours). The filming of the legendary movie "Mimino" took place in Telavi, where the monument of Erekle II was depicted. Walk through the historic part of the town. Departure from Telavi to Tsinandali, the residence of Prince Chavchavadze, father-in-law of Russian writer Alexander Griboedov. The estate is richly represented by a luxurious English park and collections of Georgia's oldest wines: wines from the 1940s are stored in the cellars of Tsinandali. Continue to the town of Sikhnaghi, surrounded by a 23-towered fortress wall, which in the Middle Ages was one of the most important trading posts on the Great Silk Road. Walk through the city, return to Tbilisi. If time permits, on the way we stop at the Bodbe monastery complex, where, according to legend, St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century, is buried. By decree of Emperor Alexander III in 1889, Bodbe is functioning as a monastery.

  • Departure to Istanbul at 10:00, arrival in Istanbul in the evening

Day 9

Excursion Istanbul

Tour of the "City of Two Continents" with a visit to the most important sights:

  • Dolmabahçe Sarayı Palace - the palace of the Ottoman sultans on the European side of the Bosphorus.
  • Sultan Ahmet Meydanı Square - Istanbul's main square with obelisks and historic centre
  • Sultanahmet Camii Blue Mosque - Istanbul's first major mosque
  • The Obelisk of Theodosius Dikilitas is an ancient Egyptian obelisk brought to Istanbul from Luxor (Egypt)
  • Hagia Sophia Ayasofya-i Kebir Camii Mosque - world symbol of the "golden age" of Byzantium. Until 2020, the mosque was an Orthodox cathedral.
  • Topkapı Sarayı Palace (optional) - a magnificent architectural monument from the 15th century. For several centuries in a row,
  • Topkapi was considered the main residence of the rulers of the
  • Ottoman state. Today it is a museum complex, which should be seen by everyone who at least once happens to visit the Turkish lands. In this museum the original sword of Stefan the Great is preserved.
  • Departure to Chisinau at 17:00

  • Arrive in Chisinau about 17:00-19:00
