The pilgrimage is organized with the blessing of His Eminence Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chișinău and All Moldova, Primate of the Orthodox Church of Moldova!

Pilgrimage Program (August 15-20, 2024)

 

AUGUST 15

- Meeting of the pilgrim group at 18:00 at Chișinău International Airport. Check-in for the flight, passport control.
- Boarding the plane. Flight to Israel at 20:00.
- Arrival in Tel Aviv, passport control, meeting with the local guide at the airport.
The Pilgrimage Center is not responsible for flight delays or other actions of the border service! People who have issues with the state of Israel, have overstayed their previous visit, or have close relatives working there, will certainly be sent back. Please respectfully do not use the pilgrimage as a means to illegally migrate to Israel, as you will certainly be sent back by the border services and lose your money.
Lod. Ancient Lydda - the birthplace of St. George the Victorious.
Church of St. George the Victorious.
Jaffa. Ancient Joppa, the city where St. Peter resurrected the righteous Tabitha.
- Transfer to the hotel, accommodation, and dinner.

 

AUGUST 16

HOLY LITURGY IN THE CAVE OF THE NATIVITY
Bethlehem: The city where the Lord Jesus Christ was born.
- The Cave of the Nativity.
- Church of the Nativity, the oldest functional Christian church in the world, built in the 6th century.
- Icon of the Mother of God of Bethlehem.
- Cave of the Holy Innocents.
Breakfast.
Shepherds' Field. Monastery on the Shepherds' Field - the place where the angels appeared to the shepherds, announcing the birth of the Savior.
- Lavra of St. Theodosius the Great.
- Lavra of St. Sabbas the Sanctified.
- Monastery of St. Simeon the Righteous - God-Receiver.
- Georgian Monastery of the Holy Cross.
Accommodation at the hotel, dinner, and rest.

 

AUGUST 17

Breakfast.
Jerusalem: - Mount of Olives.
- Greek Monastery of the Ascension "Pantocrator."
- Place of the Ascension of our Lord, footprints.
- Russian Monastery of the Ascension.
Gethsemane Complex.
- Monastery of St. Mary Magdalene.
- Gethsemane Garden.
- Tomb of the Virgin Mary.
- Church of All Nations.
Jerusalem: Lions' Gate. Church at the birthplace of the Virgin Mary.
- Prison of the Savior.
- Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross).
- Russian Church of St. Alexander. Judgment Gate threshold.
Church of the Holy Sepulchre: Stone of Anointing. Golgotha. Stone of Flagellation. Holy Sepulchre.
Return to the hotel, dinner, and rest.

 

AUGUST 18

Breakfast.
Mount of Temptation: Greek Monastery on the Mount of Temptation.
Jericho: Sycamore Tree of Zacchaeus the Publican. Greek Monastery.
Russian Complex in the city of Jericho.
Jordan River: Place of the Baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ. Immersion in the waters of the Jordan.
- Monastery of St. Gerasimus of the Jordan.
Departure to the North.
Mount Tabor - the place of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Greek Monastery "Transfiguration of the Lord."
- Participation in the night Holy Liturgy dedicated to the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, led by the Patriarch of Jerusalem.

 

AUGUST 19

Breakfast on the shore of the Sea of Galilee – Fish of St. Peter the Apostle.
Cana of Galilee: the place of the first miracle performed by the Savior. Greek Monastery of St. George the Great Martyr.
Nazareth: Church of St. Archangel Gabriel at the place of the Annunciation to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Annunciation Well.
Magdala: immersion in the holy springs. Complex of St. Mary Magdalene.
Capernaum: Monastery of the 12 Apostles.
Return to Bethlehem. Dinner. Participation in the night Holy Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

 

AUGUST 20

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel.
- Greek Monastery of St. George of Choziba – on the territory of the monastery is the cave of the Prophet Elijah.
- Women's Monastery "Gornensky" - the place of the meeting of the Mother of God with the righteous Elizabeth.
Transfer to the airport. Flight to Chișinău at 23:40.

 

The cost of the pilgrimage includes:

- Flight Chișinău - Tel Aviv - Chișinău with 8 kg hand luggage and 23 kg checked baggage.
- Accommodation for 5 nights / 6 days in a 4* hotel.
- Two meals a day: breakfast and dinner.
- Guide services.
- Medical insurance.
- Transfers according to the program.

 

The cost does not include:

- Paid entrances (approximately 30 euros/person).
- Tips for local providers (e.g., drivers, local guides): 40 euros/person – this is customary in Israel, payable upon arrival.

 

Optional services (upon request):

- Single room (alone in the room) – 250 euros.
