Itinerary
Day 1. Chișinău - Iași - Vaslui - Bârlad - Focșani - Buzău - Bucharest – Skopje (approx. 1200 km)
Meeting with the accompanying guide at 07:30, Circus parking lot in Chișinău for boarding the bus. Departure at 08:00 to Skopje.
Day 2. Skopje
Arrival in the afternoon. Accommodation at a hotel in Skopje. Free time on your own.
Day 3. Skopje - Matka Canyon - Skopje (approx. 30 km)
Breakfast. Free time in Skopje or optional excursion to Matka Canyon (15 euros/person), one of the most spectacular attractions in the country, despite its very short distance from the capital. In the afternoon, we start the city tour in Skopje: Mother Teresa Memorial House, Macedonian Gate, Macedonia Square with the statue of Alexander the Great, and the famous chain of bridges, valuable landmarks of the city, Stone Bridge, Art Bridge, and Eye Bridge. Accommodation at the same hotel in Skopje.
Day 4. Skopje - Ohrid - Skopje (approx. 350 km)
Breakfast. Free time in Skopje or optional excursion to Ohrid (35 euros/person) - nicknamed the Jerusalem of the Balkans because of its multitude of churches, whose value has been recognized by UNESCO, which included both the medieval city and the lake in the Universal Heritage, unique for the biodiversity of its species. The city reached its peak in the 11th century when it was the capital of the Bulgarian Empire of Tsar Samuil, but since the 9th century, the University of St. Clement, rightly considered the oldest in Europe, has been operating here. On the walking tour, we will admire St. Sofia Church, Ancient Theater, Samuil's Fortress, St. Clement and Pantelimon Church, and then St. John Theologian Church. Accommodation at a hotel in Skopje.
Day 5. Skopje – Bucharest – Buzău – Focșani – Bârlad – Vaslui – Iași – Chișinău (approx. 1200 km)
Breakfast. Check-out. We start the journey around 10:00. We make a stop in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia. We continue the journey back home.
Day 6.
Arrival home depending on the weather and road conditions.
